No Place Mulder Holland 1947 Hardcover Very Good Illustrated by Rei. Cramer 
No. 2030 Series; Color Illustrations; 22 x 25 cm/9 3/4 x 8 3/4"; Unpaginated pages; Oblong shaped board book, of ABCs in Dutch. No location or date in book. May be published in 1947, previous owner's name inside front cover, dated 3/28/48. Spine is red cloth tape. Covers have bumping, rubbing, scuffing, some light marks, as do other pages in the book. Pages not numbered, but including the front and back cover, which have letters of the alphabet on them, 12 pages. Hinge very weak in back half of book, but holding together. A children's book which was lovingly used. No author listed. Wonderful, vibrant color illustrations by Rei Cramer. Cramer was (1887-1977) a Dutch children's book illustrator. She moved to the Netherlands from Indonesia when she was nine years old, and studied at the Art Academy in the Hague. Her most famous book was 'Grimm's Fairy Tales' from 1927.

Water staining on front and back boards [covers ca. 2/3 back cover], bumping, fraying, shelf wear, rubbing/scuffing. Front gutter is very weak; back gutter not quite as weak. First 4 pages loose from spine. Pages show signs of wear; some foxing, color transfer, crinkling inside back cover, sunning to edges. Divided into two main sections: After Hours in Paris [19 chapters]; The Story of London [15 chapters]. Exhaustively illustrated with 100+ b/w drawings, many of them full page sized. Per the title page: Presenting Pen-and-Pencil Sketches of the Glories and Shames, the Elevating and Debasing Influences, the Reclaiming and Destructive Efforts, the Helpful and Perverting Agencies that render Paris and London the Babylons and Jerusalems of the century. Exhibiting Society as it exists in the Palace and the Slums; among the Princes and the Pariahs, the Moral and the Fallen, the Good and the Degenerate. That lessons may be learned therefrom infulencing to shun evil and admire virture. Oversized; 5#.

Oblong, silver softcover, with cut out in the Chevrolet logo shape, which shows the name 'Chevrolet' in colors, through the cutout. Title page is red, white and blue with title written in black. No listed author, location, publisher, or date of publication. Covers vehicles from 1911-1974, probably published in 1973 or 1974. Extensively illustrated with dozens of b/w photographs, drawings, and other, some monochrome, illustrations. Scarce title. ; B&W and color Illustrations; 8 1/2 x 5 1/2; 71 pages; Cover has light shelf wear, rubbing/scuffing, bottom corner curl; former owner's name tidily written on upper right front of cover.
